HC Deb 31 October 1966 vol 735 cc3-4
4. Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Minister of Labour how many homes and workshops under Government control and supervision are now available for the care and training of incapacitated men and women including ex-Service men and women; and what are his plans for enlarging and increasing the facilities available to such men and women.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Labour (Mrs. Shirley Williams)

If my hon. and learned Friend will let me know what particular aspects he is interested in, I should be glad to let him have information about it.

Mr. Hughes

I was hoping that my hon. Friend would understand that my particular interest is in the homes in Aberdeen, and those incapacitated persons who are unable to walk. What provision is made for their transport and their exercise?

Mrs. Williams

My hon. and learned Friend will appreciate that responsibility for such homes is divided among many authorities. If he will be kind enough to put down a further Question I shall be glad to attempt to answer it.
