§ Mr. Joseph SlaterI am sorry that service to and from Fauldhouse suffers from congestion. This will be relieved by a new cable which should be ready in a few weeks.
§ Mr. DalyellWhy was not the cable completed sooner? Could not temporary relief have been given to the excellent staff at Bathgate? Are there any other matters in hand?
§ Mr. SlaterThe cable was not completed sooner because it was delayed by road works. Temporary relief would have been difficult and costly. It was better to concentrate on getting the new permanent cable into service.
