HC Deb 24 October 1966 vol 734 c613
1. Mr. John Hall

asked the Minister of Health what agreement has been reached between his Department and the dental profession about fees payable under the National Health Service for certain forms of dental treatment, such as crowns and bridging.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health (Mr. Charles Loughlin)

A revised scale of fees for all forms of dental treatment under the National Health Service recommended to my right hon. Friend by the Dental Rates Study Group was incorporated in Regulations presented to the House on 14th June and came into operation on 1st July.

Mr. Hall

I did not entirely catch the Minister's reply. Do I gather that the new rates are acceptable to the profession?

Mr. Loughlin

Yes, Sir.
