Cannot the hon. Gentleman improve on what he has said and make sure that by the turn of the year these lights are: in operation?
§ Mr. MorrisI am well aware that the hon. Member has been in communication with the Ministry of Transport for years. He has been most assiduous. When he first applied for a crossing he was turned down by the previous Government. What we have told him, as set out in the letter of 10th October, is that as soon as possible one of these crossings will be set up in the road he has in mind.
