HC Deb 09 November 1966 vol 735 c1283
3. Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the simultaneous negotiation of teachers' salaries between Scotland and England.

The Under-Secretary of State for Scotland (Mr. Bruce Millan)

No, Sir. This issue does not arise immediately.

Mr. Dalyell

Do I understand that, in any future negotiations, Scottish teachers will not be at a disadvantage compared to their colleagues in England?

Mr. Millan

There is no reason why they should be at any disadvantage. They are at no disadvantage at the moment.
