asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the estimated figure to be spent in Wales on motorways, trunk, first class and second class roads, respectively, in 1967 and 1968.

It is not possible to give these figures until the estimates are published.

Mr. Gibson-Watt

I understand that, but, following on the question of my hon. Friend the Member for Barry (Mr. Gower), what hope has Wales of a growing and greater share in the motorway programme than she looks like getting under the present Government?

Mr. Davies

Every hope indeed. My right hon. Friend is giving the closest attention to this very important matter.
