§ The Lord President of the Council and Leader of the House of Commons (Mr. Herbert Bowden)I beg to move,
That Mr. Tom Driberg, Mr. Marcus Lipton. Mr. Ray Mawby and Mr. Anthony Royle have leave of absence to present, on behalf of this House, a Speaker's Chair to the Council Negri of Sarawak and a Mace to the Legislative Assembly of Sabah.The House will recall that earlier in the year it approved the presentation of a Speaker's Chair to the Council Negri of Sarawak and of a mace to the Legislative Assembly of Sabah. The Motion gives leave of absence to the delegation which is to present the gifts. The House may wish to know that the composition of the delegation to perform these pleasant duties has been arranged in consultation with Mr. Speaker and will be accompanied by Mr. S. C. Hawtrey, Clerk of the Journals.
