§ 39. Mr. Moonmanasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, in view of the increasing amount of research into the child care field, including that dealing with the size of caseloads and into the variations between different children's departments, if he will prepare a series of digests to inform the practitioners in the field.
§ Miss BaconAn evaluative study of child care literature published in this and certain other countries since 1948 is being undertaken by the National Bureau for Co-operation in Child Care with a grant from the Home Office. A first report is expected to appear in the autumn.
§ Mr. MoonmanWould my right hon. Friend also consider the possibility of extending the facilities of education as well as the sharing of information, because of the increasing caseloads which child care workers have these days?
§ Miss BaconYes, the Home Office research unit is at present conducting research into the caseloads. As soon as information is ready, it will be published.
