HC Deb 28 June 1966 vol 730 cc1598-9
Mr. Speaker

I wish to make a brief statement. I think that it would be for the convenience of the House if I describe briefly what is proposed for tomorrow's special service in Westminster Abbey.

As already resolved, the House will meet for Prayers at 11 o'clock in the morning and after Prayers the Sitting will be suspended until 2.30, but at approximately 11.40 in the morning I shall return to the Chamber in order to go in procession to Westminster Abbey, which we shall enter by the Great West Door and I shall be followed by members from the two Front Benches.

Members other than those of the two Front Benches are requested to take their seats in the North Transept of the Abbey by 11.45 tomorrow morning when they will enter by the North Door.

After the service I shall leave the Abbey followed by the two Front Benches and return to the House. The Sitting will be resumed at 2.30 p.m. and business will proceed in the normal way except that there will be no Prayers in the afternoon.
