HC Deb 16 June 1966 vol 729 c1629
6. Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the future of the Inner London Education Authority.

Mr. Crosland

I have nothing to acid to the statement I made on 18th November last.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

Does that mean that the right hon. Gentleman does not propose to introduce legislation to interfere with the review of the Inner London Education Authority provided for in the London Government Act?

Mr. Crosland

No, Sir; we propose to introduce legislation to repeal the so-called review clauses in that Act.
