§ 34. Dr. Grayasked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs why the constituency of Yarmouth, comprising the county borough of Great Yarmouth and the Blofield and Flegg Rural District Councils, is not represented on the East Anglia Planning Council.
§ Mr. AlbuThe members of the East Anglia Economic Planning Council, like members of councils in other regions, have been appointed as individuals and not as representatives of particular places or interests.
§ Dr. GrayIs my hon. Friend aware that there is deep alarm in both of these areas it case planning decisions are taken without first-hand advice from a resident who comes from the areas? Will he bear the territorial factor in mind when making replacements on the council or nominating new members to it?
§ Mr. AlbuI can assure my hon. Friend that whether or not there is a representative on the council of a particular place, there is full opportunity for all representations to be made and for everything to be taken into consideration by the council.
