§ 2. Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Minister of Public Building and Works what steps he is taking to encourage the production and use of artificial lightweight aggregates made of waste slate, coalmining shale, pulverised fuel ash, brick clay, and similar materials.
§ Mr. C. PannellAs the Answer is rather long, I am writing to the hon. Lady.
§ Mrs. ShortIs my right hon. Friend aware that I cannot comment on an Answer I have not seen? Will he, however, bear in mind that the National Plan looks forward to a production of something like 140 million cubic yards by 1970? Will he, therefore, give the production of lightweight aggregates every support?
§ Mr. PannellI will give it as much support as I can. As to not being able to comment on something which she has not seen, I thought that my hon. Friend was after information and not conversation.
