§ 29. Mr. Jacksonasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations what plans he has for visiting India and Pakistan.
§ Mr. BottomleyNone at present, Sir. I regret that the pressure of business in connection with Rhodesia has not permitted me to visit other Commonwealth countries as I should much have liked to do.
§ Mr. JacksonWhilst accepting my right hon. Friend's statement at the moment, may I ask whether he will not agree that it is urgently desirable for a Minister from the Commonwealth Relations Office to visit India to discuss possible measures for further assistance to the Government in connection with famine conditions now existing?
§ Mr. BottomleyMy hon. Friend will be aware that I made a statement a short time ago in which I said that we would do all that was possible in giving assistance in famine relief.
