asked the Minister of Technology to what extent it is his policy to keep the House of Commons informed about the expenditure of public money on research projects by the Atomic Energy Authority.

Mr. Cousins

It is my policy, as has been the practice since the inception of the Atomic Energy Authority, to inform the House of its major civil research projects. Information about the Authority's research programmes are set out in its Annual Report, copies of which are laid before the House.

Mr. Gower

Can the right hon. Gentleman say what proportion of the projects are in matters not connected with the Atomic Energy Authority?
