HC Deb 28 October 1965 vol 718 c406

Considered in Committee, pursuant to the Order of the House this day; reported, without Amendment.

Motion made and Question proposed, That the Bill be now read the Third time.—[Mr. MacDermot.]

5.50 p.m.

Mr. Arthur Lewis

Having made my point, and not wishing to hold up proceedings, I wish to congratulate the Government and the Opposition on the expeditious manner in which the Bill has gone through all its stages in a matter of a few minutes. When we have other Bills of perhaps wider import and affecting more people who are not in such happy circumstances, I hope that those Bills will be dealt with as quickly.

Question put and agreed to.

Bill accordingly read the Third time, and passed.
