§ 31. Mr. Geoffrey Lloydasked the Minister of Overseas Development whether she will take steps to assist the development of private businesses in under-developed countries by promoting an organisation similar to the American International Executive Service Corps, particulars of which have been sent to her.
§ Mr. LloydIs the Minister aware that this organisation has been very useful to a number of under-developed countries? Would not he give some further 1225 consideration to making funds available also for this type of person?
§ Mr. OramI accept the usefulness of the American scheme, but I would point out to the right hon. Gentleman that there is no age limit in the volunteer schemes at present existing and encouraged in this country and there is a full opportunity for the type of executives to whom the right hon. Gentleman referred to volunteer through existing machinery.
