asked the Minister of Public Building and Works on what date the negotiations with fire surveyors and fire officers were concluded; and with what result.

Could I, then, ask the Minister—in view of the undertaking I was given some months ago that negotiations were about to be concluded—when we may expect the Department to honour the undertaking given to these people?

Mr. Boyden

As the hon. Lady knows, this sort of negotiation is a tricky business, and the Department is proceeding as fast as possible.
