HC Deb 05 May 1965 vol 711 c1350

The following Question stood upon the Order Paper:

37. Mr. JOHN HALL

To ask the Minister of Aviation, in view of the fact that the noise level reached during recent sonic boom tests in Huntingdonshire is acceptable, what other tests will be carried out in the areas over which supersonic aircraft will be operating, in order that people most likely to be affected may have an opportunity of gauging the degree to which the noise is acceptable to them.

Sir Harmar Nicholls

On a point of order. The Table has passed Question No. 37—which has not been asked—wherein the word "Huntingdonshire" is included. The correct name is "Huntingdon and Peterborough". It may be clumsy, but it is correct.

Mr. Speaker

The Table's knowledge is infinite, but it cannot be regarded as expert on such matters.
