HC Deb 08 March 1965 vol 708 c21
32. Sir J. Rodgers

asked the Minister of Land and Natural Resources whether, in the case of an application to build houses for forestry workers, he will express a view as to the need for such accommodation, so as to assist local planning authorities in a manner similar to the practice where the application is for planning permission to build houses for agricultural workers.

Mr. Skeffington

If local planning authorities refer such applications to the Forestry Commission, the Commission will always be glad to advise on the need from the forestry point of view.

Sir J. Rodgers

Does the machinery to which the hon. Gentleman referred in his previous Answer operate in this case?

Mr. Skeffington

I am not certain to which case the hon. Gentleman refers, but I shall certainly be glad to make inquiries in the particular case he has in mind.
