§ 16. Mr. Blenkinsopasked the Minister of Land and Natural Resources what estimates are being made of the use of the Pennine Way since it was opened along its full extent earlier this year.
§ Mr. WilleyNo estimate of the use of the Pennine Way has yet been made, but the National Parks Commission has the point under consideration.
§ Mr. BlenkinsopWill my right hon. Friend say whether he is willing to carry out some further investigation into this matter? It would be of great interest to know how many people are using the Pennine Way.
§ Mr. WilleyI share my hon. Friend's interest. I believe that the National Parks Commission is discussing this with the officers of the parks planning authorities tomorrow, and I shall be anxious to learn the result of their discussions.
