HC Deb 14 June 1965 vol 714 cc30-1
Mr. Speaker

Mr. Cousins.

Mr. Warbey

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. In view of the extremely important and serious new developments which have taken place in Vietnam during the Recess, may I ask whether we are to have a statement from the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in answer to my Question on the Order Paper?

Mr. Speaker

I have called the Minister to make the only statement of which I have knowledge.

Mr. Warbey

Further to that point of order. In view of the fact that presumably I shall be receiving a Written Answer to my Question No. 53, may I have your assurance that if the Answer is unsatisfactory and I seek to move the Adjournment of the House under Standing Order No. 9, I shall be in time if I do so tomorrow?

Mr. Speaker

I will consider the hon. Member's application if and when he makes it. I cannot make a hypothetical pronouncement now.
