Resolved, That for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make new provision as respects the registration of births, deaths and marriages in Scotland, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—
    1. (i) of any sums payable under that Act out of moneys so provided in respect of the salary of a Registrar General and his expenses, including salaries or remuneration of officers appointed by him, and
    2. (ii) of any increase attributable to that Act in the sums payable out of moneys so provided by way of Exchequer Equalisation Grant under the enactments relating to local government in Scotland,
  2. (b) any payment into the Exchequer.—[Mr. Ross.]
