Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to enable effect to be given to proposed increases in the quotas of the International Monetary Fund, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the payment out of the Consolidated Fund of the sums required for the purpose of paying, in connection with proposed increases, any subscriptions to the International Monetary Fund;
  2. (b) the borrowing in any manner authorised under the National Loans Act 1939 and payment into the Exchequer of any money needed for providing any sums to be so paid or for replacing any sums so paid.—[Mr. MacDermot.]
