Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of this Session to increase the salaries attached to certain high judicial offices, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of the Consolidated Fund of—

  1. (a) the salaries payable under that Act to the Lord Chancellor and the holders of other high judicial offices; and
  2. (b) any increase in the sums payable out of that Fund under any other enactment which is attributable to provisions of that Act relating to such salaries, increasing the rate of the Lord Chancellor's pension or providing for the appointment of additional judges of the High Court in England.—[Mr. MacDermot.]
