Friend is at present discussing with the National Coal Board in connection with a co-ordinated fuel policy. He is also in constant touch with my right hon. Friends the First Secretary of State and the Secretary of State for Wales about related questions of economic and social planning.
§ Lady Megan Lloyd GeorgeCan my hon. Friend say to what extent the supply of anthracite falls below the demand? In view of the clean air policy, can he give an assurance that steps are being taken to ensure an adequate supply of smokeless fuels?
§ Mr. MorrisI cannot give any figures to my hon. Friend without notice, but I am assured that there are ample supplies of smokeless fuels.
