HC Deb 19 January 1965 vol 705 c20
38. Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what were the findings of his investigations into the suspected exchange control offences at Glenrothes in Fife; and what further action is intended.

Mr. Diamond

The findings are being referred to the Lord Advocate.

Mr. Hamilton

Has my hon. Friend recommended what action the Lord Advocate should take and whether there is a prima facie case or an infringement of the exchange control regulations?

Mr. Diamond

I think that my hon. Friend would agree that as the findings are being referred to the Lord Advocate, it would not be right for me to say more at this stage.
