Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to establish a Board of Governors of the Museum of London; to transfer to them the collections of the London Museum and of the Guildhall Museum and the benefit of certain funds; to define the functions of that Board, and to provide for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—

  1. (a) of grants by the Treasury to the said Board not exceeding in the aggregate £150,000 in respect of the cost of furnishing and equipping premises in which collections vested in that Board are or are to be, housed; and
  2. (b) of sums required for the making of payments by the Treasury to the Corporation of the City of London in respect of amounts from time to time expended by the said Corporation either in defraying expenditure incurred by the said Board, or in making payments to that Board in respect of expenditure incurred or to be incurred by that Board.—[Mr. MacDermot.]
