Resolved,

That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to enable deposits in a post office savings bank to be received for investment in securities, and at rates of interest, other than those authorised by the Post Office Savings Bank Act 1954, it is expedient to authorise the issue out of the Consolidated Fund of the amount of any deficiency in the sums available to meet any claims in respect of deposits made under the said Act.—[Mr. Joseph Slater.]
