asked the Minister of Labour what proposals the Central Training Council has made for the training of non-manual workers in industry.

Mr. Gunter

The Central Training Council has set up a Commercial and Clerical Training Committee to advise on training for office employees. No doubt the Council will put recommendations before me when its Committee has reported.

Mr. Murray

While thanking my right hon. Friend for that reply, may I ask whether he will ensure that the same urgency is given to this report as is given to apprentice training for skilled workers?

Yes, indeed.
