§ 6. Mr. Harold Walkerasked the Minister of Labour what official advice is given to employers about the subject-matter of lectures to be given to apprentices as part of their training.
§ Mr. MarshMy right hon. Friend has put on sale and circulated to the Engineering and Iron and Steel Training Boards the curriculum used in the Ministry's Government training centres for first year apprentice training. Our officers are, of course, in close touch with the various industrial training boards whose functions are to advise 12 employers on the best methods of training.
§ Mr. WalkerCan my hon. Friend say whether that curriculum includes measures to protect apprentices from compulsory brainwashing at the hands of the Economic League?
§ Mr. MarshNeither this nor, as far as I know, any other Government publication makes provision for some of the things which the Economic League does and says.
