HC Deb 09 April 1965 vol 710 c909

Motion made, and Question proposed, That the Bill be now read a Second time.

3 59 p.m.

Mr. Donald Chapman (Birmingham, Northfield)

I object very strongly to the Second Reading. We are having great difficulty with these Bills at Four o'clock on Fridays. It is very distasteful for hon. Members, but the fact is that there is an attempt, against which we can only retaliate, to stop all these Bills at four o'clock, or rather, to stop one particular Bill at four o'clock—

It being Four o'clock, the debate stood adjourned.

Debate to he resumed upon Friday, 30th April.
