asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the average rent charged to tenants of local authority houses for a garage which is provided by the local authority.

I regret that this information is not available.

Mr. Galbraith

Does the Secretary of State really mean that it is not available, or does he mean that it is not easily available?

Mr. Ross

I think that I said, and I certainly meant, that this information is not available.

Mr. Galbraith

If the average rent for the whole of Scotland is not available, would it be possible to get it for certain selected towns and larger cities, such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, and the like?

Mr. Ross

If the hon. Gentleman puts that Question on the Order Paper, I will see whether the information is available.
