HC Deb 18 November 1964 vol 702 cc435-6
31. Sir P. Agnew

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will now announce his decision on the application of the Severn River Board, made in May, for grant-aid for the Board's £40,000 scheme for further bank revetment.

Mr. Hoy

My right hon. Friend hopes to be able to do so before the end of the year.

Sir P. Agnew

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that this matter has been standing over for a long time and that the riparian occupiers and the Severn River Board are anxious to have continuity so that they can get on with the work?

Mr. Hoy

I agree that the proposals first came before the Department in May, but we shall do our best to expedite the answer.
