HC Deb 12 March 1964 vol 691 cc652-3
25. Mr. Frank Allaun

asked the Secretary of State for Industry, Trade and Regional Development what was the value of British exports of food and drink processing machinery to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and Eastern Europe, respectively, in 1963; and what proportion this represented of total British exports of this type of equipment.

Mr. Heath

The values of United Kingdom exports of food and drink processing machinery, other than domestic, to the U.S.S.R. and the rest of Eastern Europe in 1963 were £13,000 and £51,000 respectively. Together, these represented 0.5 per cent. of total exports of this type of machinery.
