28. Mr. Johnson Smith

asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance how much a man retiring this year can draw by way of flat rate retirement pension for himself and his wife if he has deferred his retirement until 70 years of age, and earned increments.

The flat-rate pension of a man retiring this year at the age of 70, together with the pension paid on his insurance to his wife if she is not more than five years younger than himself, can be £7 0s. 6d. a week.
