Lords Amendment: In page 2, line 7, after "authority" insert "or on or after that date".

I beg to move, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment.

This Amendment is to correct a defect in the drafting of Clause 1 and has been approved by the Home Office.

Lords Amendment: In page 2, line 34, at end insert: (f) that horses will be maintained in a good state of health and that in the case of a horse kept for the purpose of its being let out on hire for riding or a horse kept for the purpose of its being used in providing instruction in riding, the horse will be suitable for the purpose for which in that case it is kept;".

The term "unsuitable" would include horses that bolt.
