Friend, will he point out to him what the document which has been sent to the Ministry of Labour points out very clearly, that there are special long-term problems relating to the Rotherham area, which is so heavily based on coal and steel? Would he not agree that it is the responsibility of the Government not only to deal with the present development districts, but to take steps to prevent or deal with the kind of longterm problems which will emerge in Rotherham as a result of technological change?
§ Mr. GodberYes, I understand the concern which exists because of the 9 heavy concentration of certain industries. I will certainly bear these points in mind when discussing the matter with my right hon. Friend.
