§ Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Secretary for Technical Co-operation what aid his Department is giving to the new University of Basutoland, the Bechuanaland Protectorate and Swaziland.
§ Mr. R. The Inter-University Council for Higher Education Overseas is helping to find the staff needed by the university.
§ Mr. Biggs-DavisonApart from what my right hon. Friend has just said, which is very welcome, can he say whether any other overseas aid is being provided for this university?
§ Mr. CarrIf my hon. Friend means from British sources, the answer is that further aid will be given from funds administered by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations and for the Colonies, and there will also be aid from outside Britain, principally from the Ford Foundation and the United States Agency for Aid to International Development.
