§ Bill to make provision for expediting the completion of payments under the War Damage Act 1943, the War Damage (Public Utility Undertaking, &c.) Act 1949 and the War Damage (Clearance Payments) Act 1960; to dissolve the War Damage Commission and transfer to the Commissioners of Inland Revenue, or, in the case of payments under section 71 of the said Act of 1943, to the Minister of Transport or the Secretary of State, the functions of the War Damage Commission and any functions which remain to be performed under those Acts by the Board of Trade; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid, presented by the Chancellor of the Exchequer; supported by Mr. Brooke, Mr. Heath, Mr. Ernest Marples, Mr. Noble, and Mr. Alan Green; read the First time; to be read a Second time Tomorrow and to be printed.
