HC Deb 21 April 1964 vol 693 cc1094-5
Q9. Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Prime Minister when he received from the National Federation of Fish Friers Limited its letter of 14th April 1964 about restrictions on imports of Faroes fish; and what reply he has sent.

The Prime Minister

On 14th April; I am sending the hon. and learned Member a copy of my reply.

Mr. Hughes

Did not the Prime Minister take the opportunity during his recent visit to Aberdeen to find out something about the needs of north-east Scotland? Is it the intention to continue to neglect north-east Scotland in every way, as the Government have done since they came into power?

The Prime Minister

I was under the impression that this Question was about fish frying.

Mr. Emrys Hughes

In view of the recent inclination of the Prime Minister to take an interest in trade unions, like the National Farmers' Union, does he think that he will be in the National Federation of Fish Friers before October?

The Prime Minister

I dare say.
