§ Bill to establish a Scottish Tourist Amenities Council; to facilitate the taking in Scotland of measures for the preservation or enhancement of the natural beauty of the countryside, for the restoration or improvement of the appearance of land, for the bringing into use of certain land, and for the improvement of facilities available to the public for the enjoyment of the countryside; to make provision as respects litter bins and the removal and disposal of litter; 322 to confer on certain local authorities the like powers as are conferred on town councils by the Local Authorities (Publicity) Act 1931, and the Health Resorts and Watering Places Act 1936; to provide for the establishment of a Scottish Tourist Fund and to make further provision for the development of the tourist industry in Scotland; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid, presented by Mr. Noble; supported by Mr. du Cann, Mr. Green, Mr. Brooman-White, and Mr. Stodart; read the First time; to be read a Second time tomorrow and to be printed.
