HC Deb 06 May 1963 vol 677 cc13-4
16. Mr. Maginnis

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he expects to legislate for patent rights on agricultural and horticultural produce.

Mr. Scott-Hopkins

I regret that at present I have nothing to add to the reply giver to my hon. Friend the Member for Maldon (Mr. B. Harrison) on 27th March.

Mr. Maginnis

Is my hon. Friend aware that growers in Northern Ireland are very co3cerned about this? Will he do his best to have this agreement signed at the earliest possible opportunity?

Mr. Scott-Hopkins

I appreciate the concern of my hon. Friend for his growers in Northern Ireland. I can assure him that we moving as fast as we can, but, of course, there are many claims on Parliamentary time.
