Friend bear in mind that there is widespread feeling in the industry that the work of the Authority in research and advertisement is duplicating the work of other sections of the industry, that administrative expenses are very high and that there is considerable resistance to the increase in the levy?
§ Mr. SoamesYes, but there is also considerable support for the existence of the White Fish Authority and a realisation that it must have funds to keep itself going and that a lot of the research which is done is of the highest value. I am balancing the many representations which I have received, and I hope to make an announcement in the near future.
