HC Deb 31 July 1963 vol 682 c436
29. Lieut.-Colonel Cordeaux

asked the Minister of Transport what was the percentage of successes in all motor-car driving tests carried out in the United Kingdom in the years 1959, 1960, 1961, and 1962, respectively.

Mr. Galbraith

The percentage of passes in all driving tests conducted in Great Britain in these years was 53, 51, 50 and 50. Figures for motor car tests only are not generally available. But a recent survey, conducted over two weeks, suggests that the pass rate for car candidates would probably be about 3 per cent. lower.
