HC Deb 25 February 1963 vol 672 c891
29. Mr. Rankin

asked the Minister of Aviation what consideration he is giving to the selection of a successor to the present Chairman of British European Airways when his appointment expires at the end of this year.

Mr. J. Amery

I have no statement to make at this time.

Mr. Rankin

While I pay tribute to both the present heads of the nationalised corporations, would the Minister, in considering future appointments, survey a somewhat wider field than that represented to air marshals?

Mr. Amery

I am always glad to survey any field which the hon. Member suggests to me.
