HC Deb 14 February 1963 vol 671 c1483
Q5. Mr. G. Thomas

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of President de Gaulle's disclosure of the matters discussed between them in December last, he will make a further statement on this matter.

The Prime Minister

I would refer the hon. Member to the Answers which I gave to Questions on this subject on 12th February.

Mr. Thomas

I expected that reply, but now that the Prime Minister has had time for second thoughts, and since the reply he gave us on Tuesday was so evasive, will he not be as frank with us as he was with General de Gaulle, on the assurance that we will treat his confidences with exactly the same amount of courtesy and consideration?

The Prime Minister

I understand the hon. Gentleman's views, but I do not think that I have anything to add to the answers I gave to the very large number of supplementary questions on Tuesday.
