HC Deb 11 December 1963 vol 686 c404
Mr. Speaker

I have a statement to make to the House.

The House should know that I propose to appoint a Committee to advise me on the short-term allocation of the additional accommodation which the Government have made available for Parliamentary purposes on the second, third and fourth floors of No. 1 Bridge Street until the demolition of those premises begins.

The following hon. Members have been good enough to consent to serve on the Committee: Sir James Duncan, as Chairman, Mr. Paul Channon, Mr. Charles Pannell and Mr. Roderic Bowen.

It is probably wise to make it clear at once that I understand that it will not be possible to regard the allocation of accommodation now as conferring any title to enjoy other accommodation in the future.
