§ 28. Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Industry, Trade and Regional Development what was the cost of producing the 18th Annual Report of the Council of Industrial Design; and how many copies have been issued.
§ Mr. HeathThe estimated gross cost to the Council of printing this Report is £700. About 5,600 copies have been produced, most of which will be distributed free by the Council as part of its normal publicity.
§ Mr. PavittIn view of the fact that this contains two very handsome pictures of two leading Conservative politicians—that of the right hon. Gentleman and one of the candidates in today's by-election—and not quite such a, handsome one of Dr. Beeching, can the Minister say whether a contribution is being made towards the cost by the Public Relations Office of the Conservative Central Office and by British Railways?
§ Mr. HeathNot so far as I know. Presumably, they were printed as a good example of industrial design.
