Friend bear in mind that for twenty-five years my constituents have been pressing for the eastern arm of this road and that they have been caused both loss and inconvenience, by the delay? Is he further aware that in July, 1960—three and a half years ago—the Minister said that preparatory work was being undertaken and that he hoped that the eastern arm would be started soon? Time has been very long in this matter.
§ Mr. GalbraithMy right hon. Friend's constituents will at least be glad to know that work will start within eighteen months.
