§ Sir K. JosephI beg to move, in page 74, line 18, at the end to add:
(3) Until the coming into operation of the Minister's order under subsection (2) of this section, one half of the expenditure of the Greater London Council in the exercise of functions with respect to parks and open spaces, being functions which immediately before 1st April 1965 were functions of the London county council, shall be treated as expenditure for special London purposes and be chargeable only on the inner London boroughs, the City and the Temples.The purpose of the Amendment is to secure that one half of the cost of maintaining the parks and open spaces taken over from the Greater London Council is borne by inner London authorities only, leaving the other half to be borne by Greater London as a whole.
